The St Charles Police Department is reporting a notable increase of fraud reports from residents during the last couple of months.

The St. Charles Police Department arrested two people with driving under the influence of alcohol as part of a traffic enforcement campaign during the week leading up to St. Patrick’s Day and on the day itself.

One of the drivers was arrested for felony aggravated DUI, according to a news release from the St. Charles Police Department. St. Charles Police conducted additional traffic enforcement as part the nationwide Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over enforcement effort. The St. Charles Police joined other state and local law enforcement agencies across Illinois with their effort.

Police also issued nine speeding tickets, arrested one driver for driving while license suspended and issued seven other citations and warnings for various other violations. The Click It or Ticket/Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over mobilization was made possible with federal highway safety funds administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
