Earlville softball drops season opener: The Times Monday Roundup

Orangeville 13, Earlville 3 (5 inn.): At Orangeville, the Red Raiders dropped their season opener as the Broncos scored seven times in the second inning to take control.

Losing pitcher Addie Scherer (3 IP, 9 H, 9 ER, 2 K) blasted a solo home run, while Shelby Garbacz and Savana Lawton each singled for Earlville. Audrey Scherer walked twice and Riley Kelly pitched an inning of scoreless relief with a strikeout.
