IVCC jazz, wind ensembles to perform this week

Concert features works by Debussy, Reed and other composers at Weeg Cultural Center

Fall is in the air and so is music as the IVCC Jazz and Wind ensembles take the stage in their first concerts of the season. The Jazz Ensemble will perform on Tuesday, Oct. 1, and the Wind Ensemble on Thursday, Oct. 3 in their first fall concerts. Both free concerts begin at 7 p.m. and both take place in the Weeg Cultural Center on the Main Campus.

Illinois Valley Community College’s Wind Ensembles will perform a concert on Thursday, March 5.

The free concerts begin at 7 p.m. and both take place in the Weeg Cultural Center on the Main Campus.

The Wind Ensemble will perform music by Debussy, Alfred Reed, Julius Fucik, Franz von Suppe and John Barnes Chance.

The ensemble include IVCC students, local music teachers, area high school students and other community members.
