The city of Ottawa recently announced its Halloween trick-or-treating hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31.

The city discussed adjusting trick-or-treating hours due to Daylight Saving Time. The traditional trick-or-treating hours were selected to prevent participants from being caught off guard. Families are encouraged to use glow sticks, flashlights, or bright accessories to stay visible after dark.
