Memorial Day Service set in New Bedford

The Avenue of Flags at Valley Memorial Park, where Memorial Day services were held Monday, May 27, 2024, now numbers 475 flags. Three more were added to the Spring Valley display in memory of departed veterans.

NEW BEDFORD - The New Bedford Royal Neighbors camp number 1491 will host a Memorial Day Service at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 1 at the Greenville Fairfield Union Cemetery.

The Chapter’s deceased members will be honored along with a Memorial Day address, music, Pledge of Allegiance, Gettysburg address, Readings and concluding with Taps.Everyone is cordially invited to attend.

In case of rain, the event will be held at the New Bedford Christian Church Hall.
