Fieldcrest runs past Woodland : The Times Monday Roundup

Fieldcrest 60, Woodland 30: At the Warrior Dome in rural Streator, the Knights led 20-7 after one quarter, 28-17 at halftime and 46-22 heading to the fourth in the win over the Warriors (18-9).

Jordan Heider had a game-high 23 points to lead Fieldcrest, with Eddie Lorton adding 14.

Jaron Follmer had 11 points and Nolan Price nine to lead Woodland.

Polo 60, Earlville 55: At Polo, the Red Raiders — despite 24 points, 15 rebounds and four assists from Adam Waite — fell to the Marcos.

Easton Fruit had 17 points, seven rebounds and seven assists for Earlville (12-16), with Grady Harp adding 11 points and five assists.

Girls basketball

Wilmington 49, Streator 27: At Wilmington, the Bulldogs finished out Illinois Central Eight Conference play with a loss to the Wildcats.

Ava Gwaltney had 12 points and Leah Krohe 10 to lead Streator.

Fieldcrest 49, Normal U-High 44: At Minonk, the Knights improved to 15-13 overall with the triumph over the Pioneers.

Macy Gochanour popped in 22 points for Fieldcrest, with Pru Mangan adding 15 and TeriLynn Timmerman eight.

Flanagan-Cornell/Woodland 60, Lowpoint-Washburn 17: At Washburn, the Falcons led 13-4 after one quarter and 33-10 at halftime in the win over the Wildcats.

Ella Derossett had a game-high 21 points, five rebounds and six steals for FCW, Emma Palaschak added 19 points and three steals while Kora Edens chipped in eight points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
