Princeton junior wrestler Casey Etheridge joined the Tigers’ coveted 100-win club on Thursday.
Etheridge hit a milestone, recording his 100th career win with a pair of wins at home over L-P and IVC.
With two more wins Friday against Rockridge and Sherrard on Friday, Etheridge stands 40-2 on the season with 103 career wins after with his senior season remaining.
“It’s a great feeling getting it junior year and Augustus (Swanson) isn’t far from it either and that’s a great feeling, because me and him started together when we were young, Etheridge said.
Tiger coach Steve Amy praised Etheridge for his milestone.
“That’s a huge accomplishment. It’s hard to do. That’s a lot of matches you have to be focused for. things have to go your way,” he said. “He’s done a fantastic job the last three years. Who knows, where he’ll end up. He’ll end up in the 150s, maybe the top 5.”
