County Highway 15, also known as East 22nd Road and St. Mary’s Road, north of Kernan, will be closed for a culvert replacement beginning Monday, Dec. 9.

The La Salle County Highway Department said work on the culvert, located 300 feet north of County Highway 5 (North 17th Road or Richards Road), is expected to take two weeks to complete, weather permitting.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes around the construction site.
