The Owen Lovejoy House is a historic house museum on East Peru Street in Princeton, Illinois. Built in 1838, it was for many years home to Owen Lovejoy, a prominent abolitionist and congressman. The home was a former Station on the Underground Railroad. The Lovejoy Homestead, located at 905 E. Peru St. in Princeton, is open May through September from 1 to 4 p.m. on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. For tour details, call 815-879-9151. (Scott Anderson)
