After going winless a year ago, Glenbard North Panthers rode a strong defense, opportunistic special teams and solid running game to a 17-0 win over Bartlett.

Glenbard South put up 42 points in the second quarter and went on to beat Bartlett 63-21.

Barteltt relied on its rushing attack and a strong defensive effort to beat Streamwood 19-8 in the season opener Friday.

Glenbard East forced three fumbles and had a pick six as the Rams blanked Bartlett 41-0 on Friday.

Bartlett hosted Glenbard South in Week 5 of the 2022-23 football season on Friday, Sept. 23, 2022.

South Elgin is the two-time defending Upstate Eight Conference champ with a 25-3 record over the last three seasons, while top contenders Glenbard East returns 13 total starters and Glenbard South a talented group of returners led by Notre Dame recruit Cam Williams.

Trevor Burnett ran for 165 yards and two touchdowns, and Glenbard South beat Bartlett 28-0.

South Elgin and Bartlett posted undefeated spring seasons, while Streamwood was arguably the biggest surprise in the Upstate Eight.

The spring football season won't end the way football seasons typically do, but it will end with a number of exciting matchups.
