Peggy J. Fultz, 87, of Kankakee, passed away on Thursday (Jan. 11, 2018) at Presence St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee.
She was born on May 1, 1930, in Dyersburg, Tenn., the daughter of William and Annie (Dodds) Doss. Peggy married William Fultz on Feb. 19, 1950, in Corinth, Miss. He preceded her in death on Sept. 30, 2006.
Peggy was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, working crossword puzzles and being with her family. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Surviving are one daughter, Debbie (Coleman) Cox, of Kankakee; one sister, Ruth Doss, of Dwight; five grandchildren, Michael (Heather) Cox, of Kankakee, Matthew (Cassie) Cox, of Bourbonnais, Mark (Tessa May) Cox, of Indianapolis, Ind., Robert (Lorrie) Brainard, of Coal City, and Rebecca Flint, of Elwood; and three great-granchildren, Cameron, Carter and Adeline.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Barbara Flint; and two brothers, William Doss and James Doss.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. Saturday until the noon funeral service at Schreffler Funeral Homes, Kankakee Chapel. Burial will follow in Wesley Cemetery. Jon Quinn from Bradley Church of Christ will officiate.
