Visitation for Loretta M. Milligan, 92, of Manteno, will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 27, at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Manteno. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Manteno, where she was a member. The Rev. Albert Heidecke will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Manteno. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley. She passed away Saturday (Jan. 18, 2014) at ManorCare Health Services in Kankakee.
Mrs. Milligan was a homemaker. She was born June 12, 1921, in Altus, Ark., the daughter of George and Katie Post Raible. Her husband, Robert Milligan, whom she married July 7, 1945, in Chicago, passed away Feb. 9, 2000. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening and seeing her family.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Mary Milligan, of Crown Point, Ind.; three daughters and sons-in-law, Bonita and Jeff LaVette, of Manteno, Maureen and Dan Moriarty, of Westfield, Mass., and Carolyn and Mike Wray, of Paducah, Ky.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Vincent Milligan, of Oregon; and one brother-in-law, Leo Evans, of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by one son, Bernie Milligan; three brothers and five sisters.
