The Kankakee Art League awarded an art award scholarship to Olivet Nazarene senior Ainsley Sasportas.

Sasportas is a studio art major with a concentration in graphic design. She has written and illustrated a book, “A Splash of Dash”, which is the focus of her upcoming senior art show running until Monday, Feb. 2 at the Sims Education Center, 160 W. River St., Bourbonnais.

The book stars Dash, a sea turtle, who is encouraging his family and the reader to be creative and add color to their lives.
