The Kankakee Art League awarded an art scholarship to Olivet Nazarene senior Ainsley Sasportas.

Sasportas is a studio art major with a concentration in graphic design. She has written and illustrated a book titled “A Splash of Dash,” which is the focus of her upcoming senior art show running until Monday, Feb. 2, at the Sims Education Center, 160 W. River St., Bourbonnais.

The book stars Dash, a sea turtle that encourages his family and the reader to be creative and add color to their lives.
