Bourbonnais trustees approved the purchase of a John Deere backhoe loader during Monday’s board meeting.

It will replace the current one used by the village, which is between 20 and 25 years old, Finance Director Tara Latz said.

The village purchased the tractor from Westside Tractor Sales for $186,245 with financing from People’s Bank of Kankakee County.

The village signed a five-year lease agreement with the bank.
