Ballots cast across Kankakee County decide numerous local contests

Area voters decided several contested local races on Tuesday as municipal elections were underway.

Mayors, village presidents, trustees and school board members were some of the seats filled in Kankakee County, as consolidated elections took place across the country.

As polls closed at 7 p.m. Tuesday night, the Daily Journal reported election results live and conducted candidate interviews.
