DeKalb police investigate crash at First, Pine Streets Thursday

DeKALB – DeKalb fire officials confirmed there were no serious injuries coming from a Thursday vehicle crash near the city’s downtown.

DeKalb Fire Chief Jeff McMaster said Thursday evening no one involved in the crash at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday close to First and Pine streets “had significant injuries.” He confirmed there were two vehicles damaged and three people involved in the crash refused medical treatment and transportation to the hospital.

“It seems like it was a minor incident,” McMaster said.

Passersby on scene saw two vehicles involved in the crash at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday evening close to First and Pine streets in DeKalb. Multiple first responders from DeKalb Police Department and DeKalb Fire Department were seen at the scene.

DeKalb police officials were not immediately available for additional comment Thursday evening.
