Public invited to a drive-thru chicken fundraiser Thursday to benefit the DeKalb County Swim Team

DeKALB - A drive-thru fried chicken dinner is being held for the DeKalb County Swim Team at the Lincoln Inn in DeKalb on Thursday, and the community is invited.

The event is Thursday, Feb. 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m, according to a news release. The DeKalb County Swim Team is raising funds for new swim platforms at the Bickner Lap pool at the Kishwaukee Family YMCA.

The dinner, provided by the Lincoln Inn, will include three pieces of crispy, juicy fried chicken served with mashed potatoes, gravy, buttered corn, homemade coleslaw, and a fresh baked biscuit.

Meals can be picked up at the Lincoln Inn’s new location at Faranda’s Banquet Center, 302 Grove St. in DeKalb.
