DeKALB - Former DeKalb mayor Bessie Chronopoulos, who served as the city’s third and most recent woman mayor from 1997 to 2001, died Sunday. The Daily Chronicle compiled photos documenting her life as DeKalb mayor and ardent community activist over the years.
