In a thrilling match Wednesday, Natalie Vaughn-Low scored twice for the DeKalb County United women's team, only to endure a heartbreaking 3-2 loss against Edgewater Castle, igniting inspiration among a passionate crowd of young soccer fans.

For more than 86 minutes, Kaneland senior goalie Natalie Myers made save after save to keep it a one-score game. But Boylan connected twice in the final 2:30 for the 3-0 win in the Class 2A Belvidere Sectional semifinals.

The Kaneland girls soccer team met Boylan Wednesday night in the Class 2A sectional semifinal game at Belvidere High School.
