The Malta Memorial Day Committee will host a Memorial Day event for community members to honor deceased service men and women.

The free event will begin at 10 a.m. May 25 at Malta United Methodist Church, 201 E. Sprague St.

The event includes reflections, prayer and a time of remembrance service. Attendees also are invited to participate in a processional march to a Memorial Wreath Ceremony at the Malta Township Public Library.
