DeKalb Fire Department to hold fire station open house Oct. 10

The DeKalb Fire Department will hold an open house and truck dedication ceremony this week in honor of Fire Prevention Week.

The free event is 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 10 at DeKalb Fire Station No. 1, 700 Pine St.

Participants can tour the fire station. The ceremony also will celebrate the installation of the city’s new ladder truck.

Fire Prevention Week runs through Oct. 11.
