Road work on Somonauk Road from U.S. Route 30 to Chicago Road is underway, according to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Work on the rural road near Hinckley began Monday. Construction includes installing an asphalt three-foot paved shoulder, meant to address roadway safety.

Motorists should be aware that work will continue from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
