IVWGI to tee it up Aug. 8 at Prophet Hills

After a year postponed by COVID-19, the Illinois Valley Women’s Golf Invitational is back on the tee blocks.

The 62nd annual IVWGI, an 18-hole stroke play tournament, will be held Aug. 8 at Prophet Hills Golf Course in Prophetstown.

Any female residing within the designated Illinois Valley area may participate in the IVWGI. For participation eligibility, the player must be a paid member of the club and/or an active member of an organized league in which scores are recorded/reported.

The entry fee is $65, which includes a practice round and tournament greens fees, a tournament shared cart fees, lunch, appetizers and awards.

There are Championship, A, B and C flights with a gross team division, a net team division, senior division and a super senior division.

Practice round tee times can be made once the registration forms are received by calling the Prophet Hills pro shop at 815-537-5226. Practice round and cart fees for 18 holes is $15 a person.
