Final day set at the Colmone Classic

Princeton and L-P to meet for the championship

SPRING VALLEY - The lineup has been set for the final day for the Colmone Classic at Hall High School today.

Princeton and L-P will clash for the championship at 7:30 p.m. The Tigers (3-4) made it out of the Gray Pool by virtue of a tiebreaker and beat Rock Falls 62-38 in Friday’s semifinals. The Cavaliers (6-2) swept both games in the White Pool and defeated Pontiac 63-46 Friday night.

The varsity games start up at noon with host Hall meeting neighbor Putnam County in the 11th-place games.

St. Bede (4-4) will face Fieldcrest (1-3) at 1:30 p.m. in the ninth-place game.

Bureau Valley (5-1) plays Marquette (4-1) for fifth place at 4:30 p.m.

The sophomore finals between Princeton and Fieldcrest tips off the day at 10:30 p.m.

11th place - PC vs. Hall, noon

9th place - St. Bede vs. Fieldcrest, 1:30 p.m.

7th place - Stillman Valley vs. Mendota, 3 p.m.

5th place - Bureau Valley vs. Marquette, 4:30 p.m.

3rd place - Rock Falls vs. Pontiac, 6 p.m.

1st place - Princeton vs. L-P, 7:30 p.m.
