Princeton drops first Friday game in overtime to Rockridge

GENESEO - Princeton dropped another close one in Friday’s action in the Geneseo Thanksgiving Tournament.

The Tigers battled Rockridge into overtime before falling 72-69.

The Tigers led 25-14 at the half and 40-34 at the end of three quarters. The Rockets outscored the Tigers 30-24 in the fourth quarter to tie the game at 64 at the end of regulation.

Kaden Monroe led PHS (0-2) with 23 points with Teegan Davis adding 14 and Grady Thompson 12.

Nate Henry poured in 38 points for the Rockets.

The Tigers will return to action at 6:30 p.m. tonight against Geneseo. The game was moved up an hour as originally scheduled.

PHS dropped its opener Wednesday to East Moline UT, 56-55.
