PRINCETON — From Jan. 1-8, Bureau, Putnam, Marshall County Health Departments reported 80 new COVID-19 cases in Bureau County.
During this time, two COVID-19-related deaths were reported in Bureau County, three deaths were reported in Marshall County and one death was reported in Putnam County — making this the county’s first COVID-19-related death. The Bureau County victims were a man in his 60s and a woman in her 80s. The Marshall County victims were three men in their 70s and the Putnam County victim was a man in his 60s.
To date, there have been 69 COVID-19 deaths reported in Bureau County. There have been 11 deaths in Marshall County and one death in Putnam County.

There have been a total of 2,999 cases of COVID-19 in Bureau County as of Jan. 8.
