LAKE FOREST – The Bears have added right tackle Larry Borom to the COVID-19 list, the team announced Wednesday. The team now has six players sidelined by COVID-19 issues.
Borom joins nose tackle Eddie Goldman, cornerback Artie Burns, defensive end Mario Edwards, offensive tackle Elijah Wilkinson and practice squad linebacker Sam Kamara on the COVID-19 list.
Five of the six players have gone on the list since Monday. Wilkinson has been on the list since late November.

It’s unclear what this will mean for the Bears at the tackle position heading into Monday’s game against the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field. Starting left tackle Jason Peters injured his ankle Sunday against Green Bay. Rookie Teven Jenkins replaced him and went through some growing pains, earning four penalties and allowing a strip sack.
If Peters and Borom are both out Monday, Lachavious Simmons or Alex Bars would likely be the next available tackle. The Bears will release their first injury report of the week Thursday.
In a separate move, the Bears signed defensive back Thakarius Keyes to the practice squad. Keyes appeared in four games with the Colts this season, primarily on special teams.
The team will likely have to call up a defensive back from the practice squad when it places DeAndre Houston-Carson on injured reserve. Coach Matt Nagy said earlier this week that Houston-Carson suffered a season-ending broken forearm.
