Krista Dayton and Jeffrey Scoma were united in marriage during a ceremony performed at 5 p.m. June 4, 2016, in Old St. Patrick’s Church, Chicago. The Rev. Tom Hurley officiated.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. John (Connis) Dayton of Grinnell, Iowa, Nancy Scoma of Princeton and the late Paul Scoma.
Best man was Chris Scoma. Maid of honor was Betsey Simonson. Matron of honor was Suzanne Hanson. Junior bridesmaid was Emelia Dayton. Groomsmen included Derek Dickinson and Maciek Wojtas.
Flower girls were Rylee Dayton and Avonlea Dayton.
Ring bearers were Everett Dayton, Wrigley Dayton and Milan Dayton. Readers were John Dayton and Eric Dayton.
The couple was honored during a reception at Little Goat Diner, Chicago.
The bride is a 2005 graduate of Grinnell High School, Grinnell, Iowa. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in biology from Augustana College in 2009 and a doctorate of physical therapy degree from Temple University in 2012.
She is employed by Rush/Oak Park Hospital as a physical therapist.
The groom is a 2005 graduate of Princeton High School. He earned a bachelor of arts degree in business administration and accounting from Augustana College in 2009.
He is employed by the USDA Office of Inspector General in Chicago as an auditor.
Following a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple resides in Chicago.
