Ogle County Sheriff Brian VanVickle reports the following police activity.

Oct. 6

Duane Leonard, 52, of Rockford was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Leonard had a bond of $1,673.75 and went to court. The judge gave Leonard a $400 bond. Leonard posted bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail. He is scheduled to return to court on Nov. 30.

Kamal Abdallah, 46, of DeKalb was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Abdallah had a bond of $8,762.14 and went to court. The judge gave Abdallah a $100 bond and Abdallah posted bond and was released from the Ogle County Jail with an Oct. 26 return date.

Oct. 7

Carolina Revuelta-Avalos, 45, of Rochelle was arrested at 11:45 p.m. for driving while license suspended after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 11,000 block of East Illinois 38. Revuelta-Avalos was also issued a citation for an equipment violation. Revuelta-Avalos was issued and I-Bond and given a court date set for later next month.

Chase Clark, 27, of Byron was arrested at 7 p.m. for domestic battery, aggravated battery and interfering with the report of a domestic battery after deputies responded to the 8,000 block of North River Drive for a disturbance call. Clark was transported to the Ogle County Jail and held in lieu of bond. Deputies were assisted by the Illinois State Police.

Oct. 8

Jonathan Webb, 40, of Polo, was arrested on an outstanding Ogle County warrant for failure to appear. Webb was unable to post the $527 full cash bond and remained in custody at the Ogle County Jail pending a court date.

Christina Galvan, 29, of Sterling was arrested at 10:41 p.m. for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment, driving on a suspended license and an outstanding warrant after deputies conducted a traffic stop in the 13,000 block of West Illinois 64 for an equipment violation. Also arrested was Nancy Scudder, 30, of Rock Falls for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug equipment and an outstanding warrant.

Oct. 9

Michael Hensley, 31, of Mt. Morris was arrested at midnight for driving while under the influence of alcohol after deputies responded to the 3,000 block of North Brookville Road in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Hensley was also issued citations for unlawful parking and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Hensley was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

Oct. 10

Michael Poff, 49, of Polo was arrested at 6:44 p.m. for driving while under the influence of alcohol after deputies responded to a one vehicle accident at the intersection of West Pines Road and South Evergreen Road. Poff was also issued a citation for operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Poff was transported to KSB Hospital where he was treated for non life-threatening injuries. Poff was given an I-Bond with a return court date later next month. Ogle County was assisted by Polo EMS along with Polo Police Department.

Oct. 11

Michael Dixon, 21, of Davis Junction was arrested at 1:40 a.m. for domestic battery after deputies responded to the 700 block of Golden Prairie Drive in reference to a disturbance. Dixon was transported to the Ogle County Jail where he was released to correctional staff and held in lieu of bond.

At 2:37 p.m. deputies and Lynn-Scott Rock Fire Dept. were dispatched to a two vehicle crash at Illinois 251 and Illinois 64. An investigation by deputies revealed that a Nissan SUV driven by Diana Lantz, 54, of Carol Stream was traveling west on Illinois 64 and failed to stop for the stop sign at the Illinois 251 intersection.

As a result the Nissan struck a Buick in the intersection which was traveling south on Illinois 251. The driver of the Buick, Samantha Metzger, 26, of Rochelle and her three passengers were transported by ambulance to the Rochelle Hospital.

Lantz was also transported by ambulance to the Rochelle Hospital. All of the injuries appeared to be non life-threatening. Lantz was cited for disobeying a stop sign. The Illinois State Police and Rochelle Fire Dept. assisted at the scene.
