Mobile food pantry to benefit Joliet Township High School families

Joliet Central High School, 201 E. Jefferson St., Joliet.

Joliet Township High School District 204 families will be able to get needed groceries at a mobile food pantry next week.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank will be at Joliet Central High School on Monday from noon to 1:30 p.m., according to a news release. Joliet Central High School is located at 201. E. Jefferson St. in Joliet.

Food is distributed on a first come, first served basis while supplies last.

Families will be able to pick up pre-packed boxes of groceries via a contactless drive-thru due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Zonta Club of the Joliet Area is sponsoring the food pantry.

The Northern Illinois Food Bank's mobile pantry distributes nutritious food to high-need areas, according to a flyer for the event.
