Man charged with sexual contact with dog: records

A man was charged with engaging in sexual conduct with his aunt’s dog named Maggie, according to police and court records.

On Thursday, a criminal complaint was filed against Bryan Buscemi, 41, which alleged he “knowingly engaged in sexual contact with an animal” on July 6. Buscemi lives in Homer Glen, according to Will County Deputy Chief Dan Jungles.

Buscemi was charged with making contact with "a canine for the purpose of sexual gratification or arousal of the defendant.”

Jungles said the investigation of the incident began when the sheriff’s office received a report from the Arlington Heights Police Department regarding a sexual abuse allegation that was made against Buscemi by a family member.

The detectives determined the allegation was unfounded but while conducting the investigation, Buscemi made statements to the detectives about his sexual fantasies and that the only fantasy he ever acted on was a sexual act with a dog, according to Jungles.

Buscemi recorded a video of a sexual act that he engaged with a small dog named Maggie that belongs to his aunt, Jungles said, and the video was viewed by detectives investigating the incident.

Buscemi was charged with sexual conduct with an animal, a felony that is punishable by up to three years in prison.

Judge Art Smigielski signed a warrant for Buscemi’s arrest on Tuesday that carried a $50,000 bond. Buscemi will need to post $5,000 for his release from the Will County jail.

A review of that warrant was scheduled for Nov. 30, 2023, according to court records.
