Ottawa

Dorian C. James, 44, Chicago, was arrested Wednesday at the railroad tracks east of Boyce Memorial Drive on complaints of aggravated fleeing or attempting to elude a police officer, driving while license revoked, speeding and disobeying a stop sign. James was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Cortney K. Evans, 23, Ottawa, was arrested Wednesday on the 2100 block of Franklin Avenue on a complaint of fleeing or attempting to elude a peace officer. Evans was released with a court date.

Aaron D. Farrell, 43, Streator, was arrested Friday on the 2500 block of Route 23 on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal trespass. Farrell was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Justin J. Stephens, 24, Ottawa, was cited Saturday at West Moore and Christie streets on a complaint of driving while license suspended. Stephens was released with a court date.

Brandi M. Bisgrove, 28, rural Ottawa, was arrested Saturday on the 4100 block of Columbus Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a charge of driving while license suspended and complaints of driving while license suspended and defective exhaust. Bisgrove was released with a court date.

Dean W. Byars, 19, Streator, was arrested Saturday at the police station on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a charge of driving while license suspended. Byars was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Meghan K. Moriarty, 30, Ottawa, was arrested Sunday on the 400 block of East Norris Drive on complaints of DUI, driving while license suspended, defective exhaust, illegal transportation of alcohol and resisting a peace officer. Moriarty was released with a court date.

Streator

Bruce Scott, 31, Streator, was arrested 8:57 a.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of South Bloomington Street on a La Salle County failure to appear warrant on a charge of criminal damage to property. Scott was taken to La Salle County Jail.

Damon Sherrer, 30, Streator, was arrested 4:22 p.m. Sunday on the 1200 block of South Bloomington Street on a complaint of criminal trespass to property. Sherrer was released with a court date.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested 3:27 a.m. Monday on the 1300 block of East Grant Street on a complaint of domestic battery. He was taken to juvenile detention.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded 9:24 a.m. Sunday to 3015 Route 71 for a report of smoke coming from the roof area around the chimney of the structure. The owner was on-scene and said she has had problems with the furnace.

At 3 p.m. Sunday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 900 Paul St. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.
