Seneca Family Restaurant closed Sunday.

The downtown restaurant’s owners said in a Facebook post making that there have been “a lot of sleepless nights, worrying, anxiety and trying to figure out what the next move for the future of Seneca Family Restaurant would be.”

Owners said the cost of trying to maintain the building at 270 N. Main St. was just one of several challenges in 2020.

“There’s a lot of things about 2020 that have put a hardship on businesses, and we weren’t exempt from any of them.”

They thanked the community for its support.

“I want to thank you for the opportunity to let me serve you, cook for you, share a laugh with you, to be invited into your lives, homes and maybe share a little gossip from time to time with you.”
