COVID update: Second and third COVID-19-related deaths recorded in Marshall County

On Wednesday, the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments reported the COVID-19-related deaths of a female Marshall County resident in her 80’s and a male Marshall County resident in his 70’s. These are the 18th and 19th COVID-19-related deaths in the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Department service area. They are the second and third COVID-19-related deaths in Marshall County.

“On behalf of the entire staff at the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments, I extend our deepest sympathy to the families of these victims of COVID-19.” Said Hector Gomez, administrator of the BPMCHD.

Gomez reminds community members to take the simple steps needed to slow the spread of COVID-19 in our communities.

“I’m asking everyone in our counties to please help us reduce the number of COVID-19-related deaths. To do that we need to slow the spread of this virus until effective medical approaches to it can be developed and deployed,” he said.
