Oswego Village Board OKs video gaming, liquor licenses for new Mason Square eatery

The Oswego Village Board voted unanimously during an Oct. 6 meeting to grant video gaming and liquor licenses to a pizzeria and pub planned to open in the Mason Square shopping center.

The board approved the licenses for Riverside Pizza & Pub, to be located at 1100 Douglas Road.

The restaurant will fill the space formerly occupied by Scoreboards Sports Pub & Grill, which closed earlier this year.

With three additional locations in South Elgin, St. Charles and Batavia, Riverside Pizza & Pub is billed on its website as "a family-friendly neighborhood pizzeria, restaurant and bar."

"The concepts follow the same principles of creating a warm and inviting experience built on approachable, tasty food and beverages that people can come back to time and time again," the website continues.

Owners of Riverside Pizza & Pub did not return calls for comment in time for publication.
