ROCK FALLS – The Coloma Township Park District recently had a dedication ceremony of a new memorial bench and plaque in Seward Riverside Park.
Friends and family of Larry Siperly gathered to honor him. Siperly was a lifelong resident of Rock Falls. He was married to Shirley for 61 years and they have four children and 12 grandchildren. He was a graduate of Rock Falls High School and served in the Korean War as a signal man aboard the destroyer USS Dennis J. Buckley.
At the dedication ceremony, Michael Sterba, retired Park District executive director, thanked the Siperly family for their significant contributions and the positive impact they have had on the Rock Falls community over the years.
