DIXON – KSB Hospital recently launched an informational coronavirus website following rising cases in the region.

The website ksbcovidhub.com features health information as well as data trends for Lee, Whiteside and Ogle counties.

“Providing hyper-local, helpful information was the driving factor for designing and implementing the site," hospital spokesman Kevin Marx said.

It contains local COVID-19 data that integrates current infection rates, advice from local experts via video, and a list of links to vetted resources for more detailed information for both individuals and businesses.

“Accessing local trended infection data is difficult. Data is currently reported using statewide and national metrics. Those numbers don’t necessarily resonate with the people in our service area,” Marx said.

Data trends are updated Monday through Friday, and positivity percentages are updated on Mondays.

Two videos feature interviews with Dr. Thomas Gehlbach and Dr. Asad Jamal. Gehlbach addresses the importance of face masks, and Jamal speaks about the KSB safety measures taken to care for patients.

There are also links to local, state and national health resources as well as the KSB Care Anywhere App.
