The Whiteside County Health Department announced five new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday. The new cases involve two people in their 20s, two in their 70s and a person in their 30s.
Lee County had three new cases on Saturday, one an inmate at Dixon Correctional Center. The other two were people in their 20s and 30s.
Ogle and Carroll counties did not report updated statistics on Saturday.
Whiteside County has had 699 cases and 20 COVID-related deaths. Lee County has had 321 cases, 264 recoveries and one death. Ogle County has had 629 cases, 551 recoveries and six deaths. Carroll County has had 214 cases and four deaths.
Illinois on Saturday announced 2,529 new cases and 25 deaths. Statewide there have been 272,856 cases and 8,436 deaths.
Sterling has had 3,262 tests and 248 positive cases. Rock Falls has had 1,738 tests and 122 cases. Dixon has had 4,798 tests and 234 cases. Rochelle has had 3,216 tests and 299 cases.
