Perry Memorial Foundation set to being annual giving campaign

PRINCETON — The season of giving begins with Perry Memorial Hospital Foundation as it kicks off the annual giving campaign, $100 for 100 years, set to begin on Wednesday, Sept. 23.

Every dollar makes a difference, and the campaign asks for $1 for every year Perry Memorial Hospital been open since 1920. Julia Rackley and many others over the 100 years have supported the hospital mission of providing compassionate, quality health care to the communities we serve.

Last year the “Living Legacy” campaign raised more than $450.000, and a $500,000 contribution was made to the Family Health Clinic building.

Sue Spratt, Foundation chair, said, “All monies raised by the Foundation support local healthcare. So far, in 2020, we have contributed over $50,000 for two new ventilators, an MRI connector for imaging, and, most recently, IPADS for our Rural Health Clinics to assist in providing additional interpretation services to hospital departments.”

This year’s Foundation goal is to raise $10,000. The external financial support received aids in providing funds for special equipment or projects not funded due to budget constraints. One hundred years ago, Julia Rackley Perry’s donation made a community hospital a reality. All donations since 1920 have kept her vision alive.

$100 donations or more will receive a 100th anniversary commemorative package, including a We are Perry historical DVD and a few additional tokens of appreciation. To learn more about how to donate, visit perrymemorial.org/give.
