Sauk Valley reports nine new coronavirus cases Sunday

The Whiteside County Health Department on Sunday announced six new cases of COVID-19. Four of those cases involve people under the age of 20. Cases also involve people in their 20s and 40s.

Lee County did not issue updated stats on Sunday, but did announce three new cases late Saturday, with two of those coming from the Dixon Correctional Center. In addition, one Lee County resident was lifted off of isolation Saturday.

Ogle and Carroll counties did not release updated numbers on Sunday.

Whiteside County has had 643 cases and 20 deaths. Lee County has had 291 cases, 251 recoveries and one death.  Ogle County has had 575 cases, 504 recoveries and five deaths. Carroll County has had 158 cases, 142 recoveries and four deaths.

Illinois announced 1,462 new cases Sunday with 14 COVID-related deaths totaling 261,371 cases and 8,309 deaths.

Sterling has had 2,973 tests and 234 cases. Rock Falls has had 1,577 tests and 113 cases. Dixon has had 4,556 tests and 219 cases. Rochelle has had 3,000 tests and 262 cases.
