The Galena Trail and Coach Society recently donated $1,200 to the Northwest Territory Historic Center, 205 W. Fifth St. in Dixon. Pictured (from left) are society President Bob Glaser, center Director Dave Latta, and society Treasurer Charlie Gonigam. The Society works to preserve and promote the history of the trade and settlement route between Peoria and Galena the in early 20th century. The Northwest Territory Center features exhibits of Native Americans, the Black Hawk War, early farming, local and Ronald Reagan history.
