DeKALB – DeKalb’s Walmart Supercenter will be the location of two drive-in movie events, according to a news release.

The pop-up drive-in movie event is touring the country and visiting 160 Walmart Supercenter locations. One of those locations will be DeKalb’s Walmart Supercenter, located at 2300 Sycamore Road in DeKalb for two nights.

Other local stores that will host drive-in movies include Aurora, Batavia, St. Charles, Elgin and Huntley.

Upcoming DeKalb movies include “Wonder Woman” on Tuesday, Aug. 25, and “ET the Extra-Terrestrial” on Wednesday, Aug. 26.

Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the films will begin at 7:30 p.m. Late entry is not allowed.

Tickets are free, but must be requested in advance. Tickets will not be available at the gate.

Guests are asked to remain inside their vehicles and parking spaces. A mask is required if guests venture outside of their vehicle. Alcohol will not be permitted during the family-friendly event.

An FM radio, such as a car radio, is required for the movie’s audio.
