The Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments are reporting that two additional residents of Bureau County have tested positive for coronavirus Saturday. Public health officials were notified of the positive tests, according to state and local public health protocols.
The individuals, recovering at home at this time, are a female in her 50s, and a male in his 30s
Public health officials are in the beginning stages of these investigations and are working to identify individuals who were in contact with the cases. Federal privacy restrictions prohibit the release of any additional information regarding these cases. No further information regarding the investigation is available at this time.
There have now been 96 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the counties served by the Bureau, Putnam and Marshall County Health Departments. Bureau County has had 73 confirmed cases; Marshall County has had 16 confirmed cases and Putnam County has had seven confirmed cases. The first case was reported in Marshall County on March 23.
