La Salle County

Antonio Orozco, 30, Peru, was arrested 9:44 p.m. Tuesday on the 2200 block of Seventh Street in Peru on a La Salle County warrant for an unlawful delivery of a controlled substance (cocaine) charge. Orozco was taken to La Salle County Jail, needing $100,000 for release.

Fire calls

Ottawa firefighters responded 1:27 a.m. Wednesday to the La Salle County Jail, 707 E. Etna Road, after an alarm was activated by an inmate breaking a sprinkler.

At 8:08 p.m. Tuesday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 906 Canal St. for an alarm activated by cooking odors.

At 4:02 p.m. Tuesday, Ottawa firefighters responded to 900 Paul St. for an activated alarm. No fire or smoke was found.

Ottawa firefighters responded 6:50 p.m. Monday to 504 W. Main St. to an alarm that had malfunctioned.
