The operator of a motorcycle was killed in a crash on Weber Road in Romeoville, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office.
James Keller, 25, of Lisle was pronounced deceased at 2:15 p.m. Tuesday at the AMITA Health Saint Joseph Medical Center Joliet emergency room.
Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash at Blain’s Farm & Fleet, 451 S. Weber Road, according to a Romeoville police news release.
A Buick driven by a 64-year-old Romeoville woman was traveling east on the access drive from Weber Road, police said. A Suzuki motorcycle driven by Keller was traveling north on the access road behind Murphy Express gas station, 495 S. Weber Road. The two vehicles collided in the intersection, police said.
The driver of the Buick and her passenger were uninjured while Keller was taken to St. Joe’s for treatment, according to police.
The traffic unit for Romeoville police has been assigned to investigate the fatal car crash, police said. No charges have been filed as of Wednesday morning in connection with the crash.
The autopsy for Keller was scheduled for Wednesday, the coroner’s office said. The final cause and manner of his death will be determined at a later date pending police, autopsy and toxicological reports.
