Derek Hubbell puts a fresh coat of tan paint on the Wooden Wonderland playground at 1312 Washington Ave. Tuesday. The Dixon Park District also will be putting down fresh mulch and a new border within the next few weeks. Officials hope to open the playground and the nearby Water Wonderland splash pad on July 1.
