Satch's Bar & Restaurant owner Jeff Plesko has announced he is selling the business at 818 N. Shabbon St. so he can retire.

"I was actually planning on selling it before everything hit," Plesko said. "That really slowed everything down. I've had this in the works since the beginning of March."

Plesko has owned Satch's for the last five years.

"It was quite an experience with many ups and downs," Plesko said. "I would like to thank the many new friends I've made for their support through these years and of course, my old friends, too."

Plesko said the new owner will make their own announcement when they are ready to unveil their plans for the restaurant.

Plesko reopened Satch's, which had been a Streator establishment many years before that.
