NorthShore Care Supply implements virtual camp program

GREEN OAKS -- Adam Greenberg, president and founder of NorthShore Care Supply, recently announced a new employee benefit to help staff keep their children occupied this summer since COVID-19 has shuttered most camps for the time being at least.

“Virtual Summer Camp is the way to go this summer,” said Greenberg, whose youngest is still in high school at Glenbrook North. “I communicated to employees that effective immediately, NorthShore will reimburse employees for part of the costs of any recognized, licensed program. Even though most staff members are able to work remotely from home, those with children expressed how difficult it will be juggling bored children who are stuck at home due to the pandemic. I wanted to help them keep their kids busy and engaged to help relieve some of the anxiety of COVID and work-from-home arrangements.”

NorthShore Care Supply is a direct-to-consumer brand of high-absorbency adult diapers and incontinence supplies that recently moved from Buffalo Grove to a new headquarters location in Green Oaks, across the street from Lambs Farm.

The company reimburses 25 percent for most virtual summer camp costs and 50 percent for camps sponsored by Noggin Builders, a local business in nearby Northbrook that offers fun, hands-on learning activities for children ages 2 to 14.

The maximum benefit/subsidy is $1,000 per employee for 2020 Virtual Summer Camp activities.

“With being a work-from-home mom with no traditional summer camps and children, I was thankful to hear about NorthShore’s virtual summer camp benefits,” says Crystal Knepper, eCommerce manager. “After I watched a video about Noggin Builders and connected with the owner Amy, I learned how they help campers stay challenged and at the same time engaged and successful. The option to start with one week at a time really sold it for me. I am thankful for finding something for my kids to do this summer that is entertaining and interesting.”
