ROCKFORD – Wild Ones Rock River Valley Chapter is offering its first virtual nature program.
At 7 p.m. Thursday, Nathan Kutok and Ben Davies will discuss amphibians and reptiles that can be found in northern Illinois, with an emphasis on habitat associations, relative distribution, and local conservation efforts, on YouTube.
Kutok is a Boone County Conservation District's seasonal employee on his way to Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, where he will major in wildlife biology and conservation.
Wild Ones is a national nonprofit organization with local chapters that promote the benefits of landscaping using native wildflowers, shrubs, trees, and grasses.
A link to Thursday's YouTube video will be posted on the chapter's Facebook page. Future Wild Ones programs will be listed at wildonesrrvc.org.
