Salsa Verde in Batavia permanently closing

Restaurant will not be extending lease

BATAVIA – Ownership of the Salsa Verde restaurant franchise announced in a letter to customers via the Batavia Chamber of Commerce that the 107 N. Batavia Ave. location will not extend its lease.

Details regarding when the lease specifically expires, and when the restaurant will close are not immediately known.

"Thank you for four amazing years... It is time for us to say goodbye," the letter reads. "As a small family business, we want to express our gratitude towards all of you, not only for your business and patronage, but also for making us feel so welcomed from the moment we initially took over our building in 2016."

"We've enjoyed being a part of this community and will remember every festival, fundraising event and holidays event in a very special way," it continues.

The letter encourages local customers to visit its locations in St. Charles and El Jefe Leña y Mar in Aurora.
